Inside, the base S-Class is so well equipped that the Old Money crowd may not go for any of the three optional equipment groups. To them, the Luxury Line’s upgraded leather interior, bonkers Burmester audio system, 20-inch wheels and heated rear seats may seem unnecessary. Speaking of unnecessary, the Executive Line’s focus on rear passengers with individual climate control settings, separate entertainment screens and massaging seats is just frivolous. As for the AMG Line’s more aggressive styling, larger wheels and sporty accoutrements — well, that’s just not how they want to be seen.
Jaguar is in the process of overhauling its lineup as it prepares to fully embrace electrification. This will be highlighted by a new design theme to be introduced as Jaguar redesigns its XJ flagship with battery-electric power.
Existing models will also receive influences of the new design theme, including the E-Pace compact crossover SUV as evidenced by a camouflaged prototype spotted testing once again.
The prototype appears to feature new fascias front and rear, plus new internals for the headlights. There doesn’t appear to be any tweaks to the taillights at this stage, though this could change on more advanced prototypes.

There could also be tweaks to the interior, because we can see some camouflage on the dash in some of the shots. A new digital instrument cluster and a larger infotainment screen are possible, which we saw with
As the automotive world hurtles at light speed toward electrification and autonomy and whatever else is around the corner, and the old ways of the previous century’s enthusiasts are supplanted one by one by a newer generation eager to create its own traditions, it’s understandable some folks may feel a ping of nostalgia when catching a fleeting glimpse of an antique machine rolling down the highway. With every passing year, sightings of muscle cars and other classics get rarer. As I try to make sense of the barn find phenomenon, I keep coming back to the hope that perhaps not as many of these old cars were crushed or rusted into the earth as previously thought. They aren’t on the road, but they’ve got to be somewhere, right?
